Base/Ring recommendations

Good afternoon, I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what base/ring combination I should look at. I have a Winchester 670 in .30-06 that I have been wanting to put a scope on for some time, but I really don't know much at all about optics and their accessories. I have a scope picked out, its a 30mm tube with a 50mm objective lens. Not counting the price of the scope, I have about $100 I can spend for rings/bases. These are the rings and base I have been looking at:

The shooting I plan on doing will pretty much be limited to target shooting out to 500m, maybe a little further if I can find a larger rifle range. I appreciate any responses and recommendations. I'm not new to shooting, but I am new to optics.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Base/Ring recommendations

Within your price range, those choices will work. I would suggest a one piece base vs the two piece for a more solid anchor though. Take a look at the EGW line. For a little more than what Leupold costs, you will get a better product.

Thanks for the information, I'll look into that. I'm not married to a two piece base, that's just what I happened to see first. I noticed that the rear of the receiver is not quite as tall as the front, is that something that the base normally compensates for? Thanks again for the response.

And that's why there is chocolate and vanilla. I don't really like that tactical style for your rig, I think something like Leupold dual dovetails are more in keeping with the rig, or Burris sig rings or such. A set of Talleys will look really good on there, and are gonna run you about $95 to $100, and are just about as good as you can get IMO.

That's a cool rifle, and I'd put Talley's on it in a heartbeat, I think they'd go together awfully well!

Here is a pic of one of my rigs with them on it:
