Rifle Scopes Base & Rings for Leup M4 3.5-10x40 on Rem 700P?

Newbie here - picked up a Rem 700P (26") today - $795 out the door.

I'm looking at a Leupold M4 3.5-10x40 scope but can't quite figure the base and rings needed from Leupold website. Links to their scope/rifle mount selector page seem broken.

While I'm winging it, I think I'm looking for a single Picatinny rail base. Not sure if I need a 20 or 30 MOA and part numbers. Looks like low rings but maybe medium? Shooting will be out to 600yd.

I'd appreciate some hand-holding here. I'll do my learning, but prefer to not increase the spare parts collection getting the wrong stuff to start off. Thanks for the help! Great stuff on SH!

With that scope and barrel combo, you can make it out to 700 with 168s and 175s with a 0 moa base, or for that matter, a set of dual dovetail rings/bases in medium height. If you want to go high end with a 20 moa base, the badger ordnance 20moa base with standard rings will get you out to 1000 yards. Good luck. If you took your rifle apart, be sure to retorque the receiver screws to 65 inch pounds (not foot pounds). I think you'll be very happy with your set up. You made some good choices for a starter rifle. Consistency is everything, be sure to get quality ammunition like Federal Gold Medal or Black Hills.

i have a mark 4 ERT 4.5-14 power 50mm FFP with the TMR reticle on my 700P in 300winmag. I used leupold dual dove tails and I have PLENTY of room in the scope to get past 1000yrds. I would use dual dove tails or a base with badger rings. either will be fine.

I went with Leupold Mk 20moa base and Leupold Mk4 medium height rings. Shop around and they can be bought right. They worked great and I have zero issues using Leupold accessories like that.

FWIW- I used the Leuplod 30 mm medium rings part # 61049 and a Warne 20 MOA base on my 700p with a 40 mm scope.

I would get the 20 MOA base, because as soon as you get to 600 yards you will want to try going out farther.

Badger Ordnace 20MOA cant base, Badger Ordnance standard height 30mm rings. Buy from Triad
