BAT switch barrel / switch chamber

This seems neat, the chamber and throat are separate from the barrel. I haven't heard anyone talk about these.

Just the chamber is separate. The throat is in the barrel section. In a perfect world I guess it would work but things are very seldom perfect.

Saw the same exact concept at this place, clearly its the same system. Seems interesting but not sure how many people would really be interested in it. If it worked out the way it's designed it would allow you to keep burning up barrels while keeping the same chamber throughout, which could be nice for people who frequently shoot out barrels and would like to keep using the same brass and everything.

It seems easy enough, you don't think barrel swaps of the same chamber and caliber would be easier this way?

I have never used a quick change barrel system, always sent my rifle off to a gunsmith.

Good luck getting the throat perfectly concentric with the chamber. Not going to happen. As idea going no where.

Thanks for the inquiry, figured I would chime in. It is working great. We have a new batch of 6mm Creedmoors and 6.5's in process. The rifles are shooting amazing, and yes the whole concept is about cutting a straight throat in the barrel, by getting the chamber out of the way. The first inch is the straightest portion.

Figured I would post a recent build that a customer sent back an email and picture.

Hi Jamie took the creedmoor out this weekend again and once again no poi shift and hole in hole, sent pic of the gun and a pic of first 5 shot group and the group is not a fluke it repeats.

That's pretty darn impressive. Im definitely saving for a BAT action.

Which triggers do you recommend for the action?

Great to hear on the Bat. You will not be disappointed. Keep and eye out, the new actions should be here by later this summer.

There are a couple that I like. To start, the Rifle Basix is a great inexpensive field trigger. Our school rifles and my personal rifle now have two stage triggers from both Huber and Bix'n Andy. Both are really great triggers, although I really like being able to take apart and clean the Bix'n Andy.
