Most of you probably remember the Battleship Game played as a youngster. Well I watched a video of a couple of gentlemen playing the shooting game at 300 yards. So I thought that it can also be played with rimfire rifles, pistols or air guns at an appropriate distance. Here's the video:

A couple of PDF files of the target that I produced are attached. You will notice that one version of the target has the numbers on top with letters on the side and vice-versa. I noticed that there are variations of the game in some online photos. So I have produced two versions of the target depending on the game you have.

When printed actual size on 8.5 X 11 paper, each square is 3/4". I would have liked to made them larger but couldn't due to the constraints of paper size and MS Publisher.

I suggest that you print it on card stock to get clean bullet holes in the paper. If you have a printer that can accommodate larger paper such as 11 X 17 you could select "fit to size" on the options and get larger squares to shoot at. Nevertheless, a .75" square should not be a problem for a precision rimfire rifle at 50 yards. For 8.5 X 11 paper or card stock remember to select "actual size" in the print dialogue.

The rules are modified for the shooting game and printed on the target. Put some money on the game for added stress.

I am open to any suggestions for improving this game. You will have to purchase the game board separately:)

Me and my 12 yr old son play it at 100 yards and the hits are 5/8".

He loves youtube so he wants us to film playing it. His hits are the red....he did beat me.View attachment 8700795
We had 20 or so friends do that target with pistol. Everyone paid a little cash to get in the game, it was double elimination, grand champion got $75.
    Super fun!
I shot the whole thing one hand, left hand, and came in second place. Lol

Me and my buddies used to shoot these all the time. Very fun.
that target was back when he just turned 12 with his first .223 rifle. He outgrew and now used a 6mmbr to compete a little. He does shoot my 6.5CM a little but it's still just touch too much recoil for him (he is only just over 85 pounds).

Now he wants us to do it with his 6mm and I don't think he would miss a single shot. I have a video on youtube of him shooting his 6mm and he does 1/2 moa pretty much three 5 shot groups in a row.

Nice. We used to shoot it at 50yds with our 22lrs. Loved beating their CZs with my Tikka...lol
