BBQ in Kansas City?

Re: BBQ in Kansas City?

I've lived here most of my life. I can tell you that Oklahoma Joes and Gates are a must. I have had Bryant's sauce and don't care for it. Fiorella's Jack stack is good too. Pm me if you need directions or more info.

Re: BBQ in Kansas City?

Long time KC resident. Jack Stacks at 95th and Metcalf, Oklahoma Joes at 47th and Mission. Gates is good, they are found all over KC, pretty spicy stuff tho, great burnt ends if you can get em. Rosedale's on Southwest Blvd fed me many times when I was on call at the KU Med Center back in the 80's. Bryant's is an experience, but I don't think it's the best BBQ in KC. I now live in ND, and if I was gonna have any BBQ from KC it would be Jack Stacks.

Frequently.... it works great as a lubricant.

A. B. was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Had the sliced pork sanwitch and fries and beans. I swear there was over a lbs. of meat on the sandwitch.

We went to the original site.

Later that nite went to the Herford House for steak and prime rib.

All I can say is it was awesome food and a great time with some old friends.

Shank, you the man thanks.
