Hi everyone,
I want to re-barrel my r700 with a Krieger. I also want to have them bead blast the barrel for a matte gray finish.I have a muzzle brake that I want to have installed on the barrel which is stainless steel and does not yet have the satin bead blasted look, its smooth.
My question is, if I wanted my brake to match the barrel do I have to have Krieger install the brake and bead blast both at the same time and if I do, will my local gunsmith have trouble installing the barrel onto my action since it will need timing? The brake has left/right ports. Is it really difficult to thread a brand new barrel that already has a timed brake on it?
I guess the other option is to have them blast both separately and have my local smith install it afterwards..Anyone with experience with this or with Krieger specifically?
