Gunsmithing Bead Blast Pattern

This is the first time I've seen this done and I thought it was neat. I was told the work was performed by Hart
Hart Barrels

They must stretch a long netting "Chinese finger" over a polished barrel and then bead blast. It's not a great photo but you can get the idea.

I know some barrel makers ship their barrels wrapped with a plastic mesh covering. Simply bead blast the barrel while the covering is still on to get the "scale" look.

A friend of mine had a build done by Hart and was told that was the way they get that look.
