I dont have a problem bedding. But at the end of the stock where the barrel sit ther are two tits that stick out. Are they thee to keep barrel centered, or pressure points? Do i need to dremel these out before bedding?

Re: Bedding factory stock .260 synthetic.

Those are pressure points. I would remove them if bedding and wanting to try the barrel free floated. You can always replace by building it back up or installing some kind of bughole tuner.

I would remove prior to bedding because you want the barrel and action free to go where they should. The reason for the pressure points is to support the barrel in the shitty stock to prevent flex to begin with. DO NOT remove these until you are prepping for bedding. If you do, and don't bed it, you can make the rifle shoot for shit. Bed it properly and get rid of those and it should make a daggone fine shooter for you.
