The gun is a savage american classic 114. Here is the 4 shot group I got today at 100. The first two shots touch, then the third shot was 2 inches to the left and the 4th shot then touched it. My gun does this every time, even before all the work I did. It has been bedded, floated, target crown added, and the action trued. The only thing I can think of is that something is moving somewhere and I'm about to give up on this gun. I feel like my powder and bullet combo is spot on. I checked the action screws and nothing is loose. Any advise would be much appreciated.

Scope- 6.5x20x50 Viper
Action screws are as tight as I can hand turn them. I did notice that my trigger guard screw was loose, actually stript. I don't think that this would be causing the problem however. I checked the rings and bases and they were both tight. The bases are Leupold dovetail mounts, they were tight and didn't move, but I really don't like the idea of them. Could this be the problem?

Re: Bedding Issue?????

Try some factory ammo next, see if it throws them out as bad.
You said you 'feel' your load is ok.. Is it a proven load in that rifle?

2" is a big spread tho, I had the same thing happen when a screw came loose on my scope base, but you've already checked them..

Do you have another scope to try?

OK, this might be a stretch for 100 yards and a 2" group but are you sure your head position is consistent?

I say that because I have a bad habit of rolling my wooden head over the top of the stock and affecting lateral parallax. A normal cheek pressure changed to a heavy cheek pressure can give me an inch or so shift on paper.

Just something to consider.
