Bedding with drilled holes in the stock?

I watched a video where a guy drilled small holes in his stock to receive some epoxy. I wonder if it's a good idea.

He was trying to make mechanical locks to attach the bedding to the stock. If the stock is properly prepped the epoxy will stick and no additional lock is needed. If it's not prepped correctly and comes loose all of those mechanical locks are just creating little hinges. Not good.

Get a good surface prep. (Wet sand aluminum with the epoxy mixture while bedding. It creates a miracle attachment.)
