I was due to leave for Japan on a two week trip today. My colleagues over there are completely dazed by what has happened. I really feel like a dodged a bullet on this!

I respect their calm dignity, resolve and discipline. If this happened here I hate to think how most people would react.....

Pictures like this make me realise how lucky I am to live in a part of the world unaffected by quakes and tsunami.
