I have a few AR-10's, and an M14, but want to get a beginners bolt action rifle (18-20" barrel) to start playing around with.

Going to use it with a suppressor and would like to keep the cost low, and add a decent optic (under $1500 for rifle and optic).

Recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

I am running the Rem 700 SPS Tactical, 20" it cost me $550, and it can shoot 1/2 MOA(with the hogue stock). Great rifle for the money. Haven't shot it suppressed, but I am saving up for a Cyclone.

I am using a Remington 700 SPS tactical (20") threaded by the gunsmith at the dealer.

I did upgrade to a Manners MCS-T stock but you don't have to do that, unless you put pressure on it with a bi-pod.
