I do a lot of research before loading a new cartridge, but some of my sources cite different velocities for the same powder charge.
My Sierra manual lists 69.0 grains to net approximately 2900 fps, while Hodgdon 69.0 grains nets 2969 fps.
I think I am going to start at 67 grains and work up (67 is roughly 2800 fps according to Sierra, while Hodgdon states 64.0 nets 2816 fps).
So, what says the 'Hide.
I am running Winchester cases and I am going to try large rifle primers first before I jump to magnum. Have heard that magnum primers can give pressure signs while large rifle is a bit safer.
Thanks!
