I would like to know what is done to the bolt. I assume this is for the ghost loading??

The back notch on the bolt carrier is the one that needs modified . Just bevel the edges so instead of a round cut out it is more like a real shallow v . Don't need a mill just a Dremel or a Die grinder with a stone in it .

I think Benny does some sort of lightening cuts on the bolt as well. or so I have heard.

nothing, it just allows a ghost round on the carrier, so instead of 7+1, you can get 7+1+1, older M1 are GTG, the later will require the mod for the ghost round, all M2 need the mod.

Or you can weld up the rear notch and the same thing is accomplished.

Oh.. I have an older M1 so I wasn't sure what the bolt mod accomplished.
