Gunsmithing benelli

Does anyone know about lightening the bolt on a benelli m1? Will this improve function and more importantly will this adversly effect the guns ability to digest standard loads? It would seem to restrict the loads to target only.Thanks for any help. Brian

The idea is to reduce reciprocating mass for less felt recoil and faster follow up shots. Benny Hill of Triangle Shooting Sports would be a good guy to talk to about this. You can still use full power shells, but if you want to run magnums such as goose or turkey loads Benny says don't do it.
