Beretta CX4, 9mm

I am having a problem with removing the barrel nut from the CX4 upper. It seems to have been permanently affixed. I have been unable to break the Tq on the nut and am concerned about twisting the barrel out of the polymer fore end. Any pearls of wisdom will be appreciated.

What are you trying to remove it for, however? Just curious

Most gunsmiths will not touch Cx4s for threading because of the way Beretta has the barrel installed.
