Bergara.......700 foorltprint???

That is my understanding. I just received my B14 HMR left handed 6.5 Creedmoor. I haven’t assembled anything yet, but I purchased a Badger 20 moa rail for it and will be putting it in a Magpul Pro 700 chassis. I’m undecided on the trigger, I’ll see how the OE unit works before spending that money.
You can use aftermarket 700 Remington triggers, Remington 700 stocks will fit, the bolt nose however is coned and so is the end of the barrels meaning they have to be machined to fit the action and bolt. Bergara will normally rebarrel for $500 , last I've heard is that they temporarily halted rebarreling due to them catching up with demand for their Premier series, and custom rifles but will resume as soon as they are caught up.
Yeah I am worried about fit in stocks/ chasis. I want a 300 and run it mostly in an MPA. But when I go hunting, put it in the stilock it came in
I swapped triggers for a BnA, and used a rail for a 700 SA. Went right on, no issues.
You mean try to setup for rem700 prefits? The Bergara has a floating head similar to Savage
ETA: The Premier actions have a floating head, the B14 do not

Yes the the standard Bergara action does not have a floating bolt head but referenced in the post below the bolts seem to be interchangeable between the standard action and the premier action.
I believe he is the second hide member that has posted this bolt swap.
So I wonder if a 700 bolt swap is feasible, exactly for prefits.
The Remington 700 bolts aren't coned, so that's a NO. Why would you want to anyway the Bergara bolts in the Premier series are a definitive step up over the Remington 700, and the B14.
From the Bergara web site:
"...two-lug system that features a separate floating bolt head to ensure contact with the lug abutments in the action. It also features a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located in the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is stainless steel with a pad at the rear to accept the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, the non-rotating gas shield, the bolt handle, and bolt shroud are fully Nitrided for extreme durability, as well as its self-lubricating properties. "
Plus easy 1/4 turn tool free bolt disassembly, the bolt shroud is much more substantial than on the B14, and the fluting is perfect for windy and dusty areas such as here in the Western U.S. Perfect combination with the TriggerTech Special I'm running.
Full disclosure: I guess I'm the other hide member besides JakeTheDog because he gave me the pertinent info for the switch to the Premier bolt and I'm grateful.

With Bergara doing $500 rebarrels it doesn't seem worth the effort chasing a Rem 700 bolt. Why buy a Bergara if you just want a rem to begin with?
I'm certain that at some point somebody will start selling remage or pre fit barrels for the Bergaras. If I had to drop the extra coin for a Bergara and then more for the Rem 700 bolt I should have just upgraded to a custom for about the same $$$ (Nucleus, Bighorn, Defiance, Curtis, etc.)

Very true! I bought the B14 because the Premier HMR Pros weren't available yet at the time, so the bolt was an upgrade to a rifle that had proven to be a keeper.
