Gunsmithing Bergara barrels?

Anyone got any experience with them?

I'm going to rebarrel a 700 in .308 for a deer\hog rifle and want to use a pre-threaded short-chambered sporter contour barrel.

Price on the Bergaras and Shilens is about the same. I don't expect benchrest performance out of this build, just want something I can count on for the occasional long shot without weighing 15 lbs.

Any advice is welcome!

Er, crap...how do I delete a post? Went to use the search function and found an older post that got a few people riled up. I don't want to make a mess lol!
