Bergara sends a three shot accuracy test target with every HMR Pro. I would like to know if the people that purchased them have found the the test target to be a reliable indicator. Does it shoot the same, better or worse than the test target indicated?

My buddy just got one. First 5 rounds after bore sighting were under .5MOA. They are pretty cool guns for the price. Very accurate

Don't have a Pro... but the 'stock' B14HMR will do .35 minutes at 100 yards.
Normal groups under .5 moa with factory bullets. (American Gunner is good).

I've shot the HMR, the Ridge, and the Hunter and all definitely hit the sub MOA guarantee. I'm not a marksman by any means , more of hunter accuracy and bad eyes and I stay sub MOA. Find the ammo that works best then have fun! None of mine are pros but they all deliver.

My rifle's test group target is an unimpressive .653

I just inspected it today and started my 10 day waiting period. I'll report back later when I have the rifle and scope. I'm hoping the guy who shot it was having a shit day.

My LRP came with a 3 shot group just under .5, a buddy got his and it came with one that was .8. He was kinda pissed until we shot them and switched shooters and rifles, his is every bit as accurate as mine is. I shoot the same with his rifle as I do with mine. I wouldn't put too much stock in that test group, especially if two are touching and the third is a little further out.

This is a factory rifle showing 1. Function check and 2. That it shoots under 1 Moa. Many cannot even shoot that group consistently, every single time at the drop of a dime. Shit, I cherry pick groups all the time showing SUB-Half MOA but really, I'm a 3/4 MOA - 1 MOA shooter.

Too many things contribute to that group. Did he have too much coffee before he shot? What ammo (I doubt they're launching FGMM or Hornady 140's ELD match). Or.. what if that group was cherry picked and actually put them all in 1 hole, but you couldn't replicate it? Would you call and say something is wrong with it because the test target showed it could shoot .250" but all you can do is .750"?

That is a great test target and for a factory rifle (probably NOT shooting match ammo) I would be happy. It will shoot better than that, I'm sure...but can you?

Agreed.

I am honestly a 3/4 to 1 MOA shooter (per scoring in local matches out to 630 yards), I cant hold that level of accuracy out much further, the wind reading affects my game past that (but Im working on it!) the only way Im getting a .5 group is in a rest or if I get better with fundamentals and wind reading.
