Wanting to pick up a new rifle in 6.5cm, I’ve downgraded my rifles and this will be my range and occasional hunting rifle. Is the CA worth 5-700 more? With the ca inlet integral rail, carbon barrel and what seems like a little better gun, is that the case?

Not IMO...and based on reviews, customer service issues etc. on different forums, you couldn’t pay me enough to buy anything from CA. Especially with what Tikka, Bergara are producing from the factory.

I tend to agree with AmericanCheese on this, especially at the price point we're looking at here. Most accounts of CA rifles are less than glowing reviews. The Bergara or a CTR would be where I put my money if I was you. My Premier LRP is a fantastic shooter for a production rifle and I couldn't be happier. I don't have the CTR but have read great things, I do own the T3X Lite and a SuperLite though. Again, fantastic rifles entirely capable in the right hands with quality ammunition.

I have a BA tactical and it is awesome. Before I bought mine I read threads where someone’s “friend, cousin, brothers cousin” had a Christensen arms and it “couldn’t hit a barn”. But they didn’t send it into get serviced. Yeah whatever. If you pay $2250 for a rifle and it sucks and you don’t try to get it warrantied then that’s just retatrded. I’m glad I ignored them. I have not seen any proof they are shitty. I also have a CA-10 6.5 creedmoor. They have both been awesome. Customer service was great. I had a Extractor on my CA -10 break after 1000 or so rounds. They sent me a new one for free.
Also there barrels were better than proofs research in Brian litzs review.
I haven’t shot a bergara and I’m sure they are good but I really like the way both my rifles shoot.
It’s good to have choices.

mine came with a triggertech trigger and the muzzle break is probably the best I’ve used. Replaced trigger for a flat faced triggertech. And the bolt knob. I think for what it comes with it’s a killer package plus it’s light but shoots like a heavier gun. Mine was purchased from sportsman’s warehouse for $2250. Mine has a 26 inch barrel.

I’m glad you really like yours. Their MPR 300WM and Ridgeline have really caught my eye.

Do you have any 5 round groups you could post? Some more positive reviews (like yours) might help those of us on the fence!

first off, this is my first post on the forum so hello everyone.

I ended up getting the BA in 6.5 prc and absolutely love it. i don't have pictures of my 5 shot groups but I've attached a few i do have. The first two groups were shot with hornady factory 143 eld-x, the 3 shot was a little over 1/2" and the second one is a 10 shot group right at 1 minute.

The picture with calipers is a 3 shot group after some load work up. I also know the math doesn't add up on group size with the .27" i have written. I measured once and wrote it down then measured again to take the picture so of course they are a little different. Anyway, with the load i have now (54.1 grains h4831sc, 2.950 coal, and hornady 147 eld match moving 2950 fps) I am consistently shooting 3 shot groups under .3" and 5 shot .5" ± .1.

I've also heard a lot of good things about bergera but have never shot one so I can't speak to them.

I did some load development this weekend I’ll post up. I’m certainly the weak link. R-16 seems to be what my gun likes. Shoots many different bullets and weights good.
My 130 match kings were avaerage of 3020 FPS. No pressure signs I was sure there would be. I haven’t messed with seating depth. Was just trying to see which bullet weight/type shot better than the others.
I will probably get another BA in 300 Prc when they become available. I was going to get the 6.5 prc but then saw the 300 prc. That 6.5 prc looks like a wicked little round.

How does it group? I've been eyeballing a BA Tactical.
