If you are wondering like me when 180gr VLD's will be back on retail shelves this is the response from Berger I received today. I guess I'll work up some 168gr for the Oct. antelope hunt.
"The 7mm 180 Grain Match VLD Target bullets are about to be produced, which leads me to believe that once we finish the Target version, we will produce the Hunting version since they use very similar tooling. It does not show up on my production schedule, which goes out about a month, so I expect that we will probably be having these produced around the end of August, which would mean that they should hopefully be on shelves in September. This is a really rough estimate, so I cannot guarantee these dates until we get closer to producing them.
My best recommendation is to find a place that takes backorders and to put one in with them well before they get them in stock. Everything component related seems to fly off the shelves as soon as it comes in stock."
