Berger VLD 175+ loads .308

Looking for a good .308win load using berger VLD 175gn or heavier. Looking for something to use as a whitetail load at around 700m. Is there a big difference between the hunting and target versions of the VLD?

I've been told that the hunting version has a thicker jacket.

Hunting jackets are actually their old thinner jackets. Same weight and dimensions and fly the same for me.
