He also, last year, bought a beach house on one of the Champlain Islands for a mere $600,000. Right after he dropped out of the race.
But his neighbors are all complaining that every other house in the neighborhood is between $1,000,000 and 1,500,000.... right on the lake. So how did he get such a sweetheart deal on a house. A couple of weeks after dropping out of the race against HIllary. Why the huge discount? On his... I think 4th home.
I mean, it must be nice to be a socialist who became a millionaire as the Mayor of Burlington, a worthless Congressman and an equally-worthless Senator. How did he become worth tens of millions of dollars? And his wife.... who files separately... also become worth tens of millions. This doesn't surprise me at all. Wherever Socialism is preached to the masses, and is accepted, it doesn't take long before people start to figure out that the only ones getting rich are those in charge. By the time that occurs it is too late as those in charge have legislated all their power and co-opted the military and police to defend them. Just check out Venezuela as a long list of countries taken down by Socialism. The richest person is Venezuela is Chavez's daughter and other family members. Socialism as a economic model never works and it is normally due to the greed of the leaders. Cuba is another example - the richest people in Cuba are the Castro brothers. The poor are still poor and rich get richer...GREED of the human is insatiable.

Reminds me of a scene in one of the very early CSI episodes. A bunch of kids were dying because someone was peddling poison Ecstasy to them. They traced the source to these giant Raves that were being held out in the desert at night. The veteran CSI leader, Grissom, and the younger CSI investigator Brown, went together to one of these Raves to find the source. First album I bought with my own money was a use copy of Tommy at a church sale for $0.50. I also got a Donovan album and a Seals and Crofts album. Tommy and Donovan got played a lot. I think I shot Seals and Crofts with a 12-gauge.
While I still have Tommy on my iPod, I think Who's Next is one of the greatest albums, though. 7 of 9 tracks are legendary rock tunes.
And they were still putting on amazing concerts in the '80s.

Bernie's wife got a sweetheart appointment to a college board. She lied about raising two million dollars in donations to justify a bank loan for another 6 million. That money was not available unless the college had in-hand the donations. Mrs. Bernie lied about having the money... and claimed some big donors had ponied up, when they hadn't committed. So they faked the paperwork, got the loan.
What was the loan used for? Expansion, buying land, paying trustees big salaries.... of a college that was worthless, had barely any students BUTTTTT... was built on prime-o land in Burlington. Land that developers had wanted to get ahold of for years. So suddenly the college has even more valuable land, they go bankrupt, default on their loan, leaving a local bank holding the bag. And all the Trustees cash out and the property gets sold to.... developers for development. In the downtown that Bernie used to be mayor of... then Congressman of.... now Senator of.
Of course, all this is taking place while Bernie is running for President and getting scads of money handed over to him... from who? Maybe from people who get land deals? And just a couple of weeks after dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing Clinton... and right after his wife pocketing close to $600K from the Burlington College deal, BTW, they suddenly get another massive sweetheart deal on a beachfront mansion in the Champlain Islands.... $600,000 house... that everything around it sells for a million to 1.5 million.
