Hey all,

Im looking for a scope to put on my CZ 452 22lr trainer. im planning on getting a Vortex PST for my main, so i would at least like a scope that is Mil/Mil for my trainer. i know that the ideal would be to get another PST, but i dont have that much to spend so i am hoping you all can help me out. thanks.

any other recommendations under $400? if i just need to save up that's fine, but i gotta believe there is something in the under 400 range.

I was thinking about the 4-14x44 Falcon, but recent quality concerns have made me shy away from it. how do you like your 5-25?

I really need someone to clarify to me why trainer rimfires should be any different than primary centerfires when it comes to sighting....

For me the same criteria applies, a scope with reliaqble mechanics with a reticle I can use. If I cant get both in a FFP for my budget I'll go fixed.

Wrighty, you said trainer, not hunter, so I would recommend a 10X or 16X supersniper. mil/mil doesn't mean shit if it doesn't work. I'd rather have moa/mil fixed in a proven platform than mil/mil FFP in a platform I can't trust.

good points, sobrbiker. though i am wondering why i should jump to a fixed 10 or above and skip variables if i cannot afford an FFP? are the variables unreliable? it seems like for the ranges i will be shooting at most (25-200yds), a variable with something on the low end would be best rather than a more cumbersome 10x for those closer shots. with that said, the SS is a great platform and i can see why you recommended it. just not sure the magnification is what i want.

also, i completely agree with you that no feature means anything if i can't trust the scope to work.
