I've got a 21" .223 7.7 twist barrel and wondering what bullet you all may have had best results with.
Best .224 bullet for a 7.7 twist.

I love the 75 Amax. thats what I shoot in my 8twist barrel too, that was my plan but I wondered if there was another/better choice.

My Krieger 1:7.7 (16") really likes the 77gr SMKs, but it also shoots 69gr SMKs and 75gr Hornady BTHP bullets very well. With a 21" barrel, I'd go with the 77gr SMKs.

That was my second choice after the Amax, my barrel BTW is also a Kreiger.

Not to overrun the topic but i was wondering the same for a 1/9 twist for the same .224 bullet.

I've been playing around with the Sierra spbt 65 grainers.(7-10 twist recommended) Very good accuracy in a few differant ARs. If your looking for a heavier hunting round with excellant accuracy give these a try. I think they are fairly new and there was no load data for them in the Sierra book, I called Sierra and they said to just start with the same load data as there 69 grainers.
