Best bag???

Need advice on the best bag for my bolt guns. AIAX 308 and AIAW 6.5 creedmoor. I shoot mainly from bench, not prone. Thanks

i like the badger bone. but a bag of beans or rice in a sock does the trick. unless ur talking drag bag. then idk im not into em

I am currently using a Wiebad rear bag. I truly like the versatility of it, and it is adjustable to maintain a certain height preference.

There is not one bag that is best for all, and to be honest, there is no best bag for YOU when switching different stock/bipod combinations.

Bipod height, comb/butt height & parallelism, the size of your chest..etc... all plays in.

I'd suggest you start out with a mid sized bag, if its too big, loose some of the fill, too small, add some. You don't want it to be really full or really empty either though, as it wont offer firm support at all.

If all your doing is bench shooting, why would you want a field style bag though? You would be better suited to something leather/sand/with ears.

I made my own drag bag out of an old paratrooper rifle bag and my rear sand bag I made with 2 socks, popcorn seeds, seeing and shoe goo.

I like my Eberlestock Sniper Sled.... If your talking drag bag.... I use a T.A.B rear bag and it works well

Condor makes a great drag bag very similair to Tac Ops you can look at them at OPS gear website

Since you're talking about shooting and not transporting Im leaning towards a rear bag. Ive got a protector DR bag, 15lbs, very solid.

Yep, TestnDoc must be talking about a shooting rear bag; the one you have is very good, I used it yesterday. That's an heavy little guy so if I were to have to carry it around, I would go with something lighter but as he shoots mainly from a bench, it would work perfect for him.

From the bench I would stick with a heavy, leather rabbit ear bag.

I use the Protektor medium sized leather bag with the medium ears. Whatever bag you use, make sure to use a heavy sand fill. Makes it able to do fine adjustments and hold very steady.
