I am looking for a compensator for my LR-308. Which one would do the best at cutting down on recoil? I dont care about the birdcage design putting up dust. It wont be fired too often around that much dirt.

I don't have any experience with them, but I've read good reviews on JP's recoil eliminator. You might want to consider that one. Also check out their tactical compensators too, I just ordered one and should be getting it next week.

I've always been happy with the ANSWER brake.
Here is a close copy to theirs which according to my friend who has used both can't tell any real difference between them. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the guide series brake.
I believe the current pricing is $200 installed with a thread protector. The ones i've seen the blending is perfect.
