Best factory .260 ???

Re: Best factory .260 ???

Find a donor rifle and send it to GA Precision to have them put a barrel on. Will run around $650 or so to true the receiver and screw on a new barrel. If you can get the donor for a good deal or have one laying around it's not too bad. .260 uses the same bolt face as a .308/.243 etc.

Cool. So in your opinion what would be your choice of a donor rifle, 700, savage, ? This seems to be the route im headed. Realoading seems inevitable now considering a .260 if im not mistaken... (dont know why I havent started already).

Re: Best factory .260 ???

IMHO a Rem700 short action would serve you better, there the small block Chevy of the boltaction world, almost every aftermarket action made is based on the Rem700, parts are easy find incase something breaks, do like Rob01 said and you'll be happier in long the run, go the Savage route and you buy a Rem later in life.
