Hell, I thought my male Rott, listened well. Albeit, with a boot against his ass, every now and then (selective male hearing issue), but, that dog was all kinds of smart. Mac
I need a dog like that so I can take hunting. He would definitely make for a much better partner than a human companion...

granted, he didn't complain during the 8 mile slog through knee to thigh deep snow, nor the frozen toe, frozen mud scaling at 3F that we really should have been roped up for.
or my insane blowouts in the camper shitter on night 1.
but man he did not like that little hill one bit.....
And yes, a dog that is well trained and behaved is very cool.
