I like the Bulgarian Circle 10 Waffle mags as can be found from K-Var, but the price can be steep. I don't know that they are any more reliable or durable than steel mags, but they are really nice.

I usually end up picking up surplus steel mags. They are just as reliable as the Circle 10's and usually about a third the price. Of the steel mags out there I prefer the smooth backed "Chinese" ones as I find them a little easier handling without the ridge on the back. That said they all work about same.

Stay away from the Bulgy "Bullet Mags" and pretty much any that are made in the US. Most are not any cheaper than surplus mags and most are not near as reliable.

Aim Surplus usually has some good deals on surplus mags.
