Best results across the board for me have been spherical ones.
H335 and BLC2 work really well in 223 with light and heavy bullets. BLC2 works well in 308 with 168-190gr bullets.

The best powders for progressive reloading throwing consistant charges will be your ball/spherical powders. When looking to choose a powder, research which one's are spherical/ball. Another great new powder is IMR 8208. This is a small extruded powder that is temp insensitive, and is what I am about to start testing for my 77 grain SMK AR-15 load. It is small enough to meter well through a progressive. I also like TAC and Xterminator powders. They are spherical, and meter like water. The other powders mentioned above will also work well. I never had any good results with BLC-2, but others have.

I asked this question on another forum and was told that some use varget but most stick to ball powders like 748 and TAC.
