I have a primal rights primer seater which will give me consistent seat on the primers but what do you all get best results from seating to the cup of the primer which would compress the anvil or seat to the anvil of the primer ? Or anything else is any way better to get consistent ignition on the round ? Thoughts please

Have you talked this through with Greg hisself? Might be informative.

It's not a DEPTH you are looking for, but a crush.

Measure the depth of your pockets, carefully-AF measure a few primers, and set up the press to seat the primers for 0.003-0.005" anvil crush.

Provided that dimension leaves your primer face at, or preferably slightly below on ALL casings (check a bunch), flush with the casehead, you're good to go.

Haven’t talked to him about it just reading and seen a lot of different view and I do what you talk about measuring the primers and pockets just didn’t know what was best as to crush the anvil or going just to anvil or crush anvil all the way to the cup for good consistent ingnition. But your answer answered that so I’ll try that Cushing the anvil .003-.005 and go all the way to the cup as the other guy does and see what works best thanks !
