Im in a bit of a bind, and I've been hankering for a reflex sight to replace the rear post on my Sig P220.

So my question is for those who have had/learned from their reflex sight experiences; What sight would you recommend?

I'm primarily using this gun as a fun range gun (45Osprey mounted to it), and I'd like to know which reflex red dot sights hold up the best.

I've taken a look at Docter and the burris Fastfire, but i'm just trying to gather opinions before i jump on one.

Keep in mind that you are adding weight to the slide, which in turns means that you are going to slow it down. Will it have enough speed to be able to reliably run with the added weight? You may need to use a softer recoil spring, or find a frame mount instead of a slide mount.

I've already debated a softer recoil spring, since my suppressor already slows the cycle down just a bit.

A softer spring is no problem at all.

The other problem is that the glass on the micro sights is, well, micro. It can be hard to find the dot. That's why you see the bigger tubes on race guns.

It helps if you only have the one gun. Enough presentations and you'll line up right every time.

I have too gone through ever battery powered slide mounted site and found out that a frame mounted j-point or doctor seems to work the best. If you have to have a slide mounted site look into the RMR site, I have heard good things about them
