Rifle Scopes best scope for the lowest price

Re: best scope for the lowest price

What do you consider long range?
What cartridge? What rifle? Target shooting or hunting?
A good way to get started is the Bushnell Elite 3200 10X scope (fixed power), a set of Burris XTR low rings and an EGW 20 MOA base. All together will set you back about 3 bills.
Other good options are the Millet TRS-1, Mueller Tac-2, Falcon menace, Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14, Vortex Viper series.

All of these can be had for less than 400 for the scope. A set of Burris XTR rings, which are very well made and very robust can be had for 45 - 50 dollars and the EGW base will run about the same.

I will say it now before someone else does: Use the search feature. This question is asked every other day, with pretty much the same responses. Take the whole 1.5 mintues to scroll through the first five pages of the forum and see the answers to your questions.

Explore Optics 4-16x50MM Tactical Mildot is the best scope value out there in my opinion. Retails under $400, but I can get you an awesome deal on 1 from a dealer buddy of mine.

PM me if you are interested... I can get you the contact info.

Re: best scope for the lowest price

I have a Weaver V16 that I like alot, it has the fine crosshair recticle, its currently sitting on a 6MM Remington, I think you can pick one up new for like $250-260, used they might be a little closer to 200-220.

Re: best scope for the lowest price

I am by no means a scope expert, but I am liking my Wotac 4-14x50 Tactical. Payed just over 3 bills, paired with burris xtr rings and warne 20moa 1 piece base.

I have a T24, and its a very nice scope, just wished it were matte. My Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40, is another great scope for under $400

Re: best scope for the lowest price

The best scope for the lowest price would be the highest priced quality you can scratch up and/or save up for. Don't make the mistake of buying mediocre optics.

I had a R700 in .223 but they have a 1:12 twist and won't shoot the heavier long-range bullets well. That's why I sold it and spent the extra $ reloading 75 gr. A-Max for my Savage 12FV with a 1:9 twist...
