Shane and myself drove out to Salt Lake City to meet the Desert Tactical guys and do some testing. I can't remember ever shooting in better conditions in my life. It was a warm and sunny 40 degrees with no wind at all. Can't talk about or show pictures of what we were testing but I did bring my 7 WSM with one of our 30P-1 cans on it to stretch a little between testing. I was able to score first round hits at 1585 and 1985 yards. It was pretty cool being able to see my own trace heading down range as soon as I broke the shot with my 3.2-17x USO. I've sent a lot of rounds down range but never in conditions like today.I've never had such an easy time hitting targets so far away, probably never will have it that easy again. I will be coming back and shooting at this spot again. Big thanks to the DT crew for taking us to such a great shooting spot and the experience. We'll be back for another round of testing soon

Glad it went well -- that rig is bad-ass, man. Thanks for letting me shoot it in Kansas.

I don't know the name of the place. It was about 40 minutes outside of SLC next to an acid plant close to the Morton salt place. It was a very good shooting spot. Rocks from 600 to about 2100 with very good backstop and a road to drive and place steel on. It would be a great hike and shoot place. It was cool and conditions like I've never had before. We always have wind here

It was in Grantsville, thanks for coming out. I'll let you know if either of those first shot hits are on the video's when I get through them and the photo's, letf the camera rolling for some time, hopefully they are in there.

Good shooting.

Another thumbs up, 1st round hits at those distances is always impressive. Nice Kung Fu! Gives me a good buzz thinking about it.
