Looking to mount a Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56 on my Accuracy International AXMC in .300 Win. Currently looking into Spuhr’s ISMS mount but I’m unsure of which variant/size would yield the best results. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
If you’ll ever run clip on night vision, you’ll need the 1.5”, or 1.535” height. I have a 0moa Mount on mine, as well. You should be able to reach 1600+ yards with that setup, depending on your local atmospheric data.
Technically if you want to squeeze every bit of mechanical elevation out of your optic you can run a SP-4302 (10.3 MOA).
30 MOA on the rifle and the 10.3 MOA mount gives you 11.7 MILs of declination. A good spot to be for maximum elevation travel on a S&B 5-25x (26 MILs dialable, a random bit more useable).
I do have a particular S&B 5-25x that still zeros just fine at 100 yards running 50 MOA total declination. Optically I can’t tell a difference, plus it’s generally dialed around the mid-travel or higher anyhow.
