I'm somewhat new to bolt guns and I'm looking to add a small section of rail estate to the fore end of my 700. I have a Harris w/ built in Larue mount that I want to be able to swap from another rifle (AR-type, with rail). What are you guys using to do this? Thanks in advance.

Will both the Seekins and Accu-shot products work with my stock? The rifle is an SPS AAC-SD with the Hogue overmolded green stock.

That's what I was thinking. This stock does not have two sling studs. I haven't done this before. Would I simply drill a hole?

Drill a hole from the bottom of your stock, into the barrel channel. If your stock has the aluminum insert in it make sure you use the popper drill size and you can tap the aluminum in your stock. If not, you can insert whats called a T nut in the barrel chanel.

I'm not sure of the construction of your stock, but yes, that should be all you have to do. I have the same bipod and mount that you have, and I just used a spare rail to mine. The holes didn't line up, so I just drilled a smaller pilot hole and used a wood screw in my fiberglass stock.

I'm pretty sure there isn't an aluminum insert in the stock. I haven't taken it off yet, but it's the plain-jain Hogue overmold rubber stock that goes on the SPS Tactical rifles.

Is the T-nut included in the Seekins kit?

I suggest stainless steel T-nuts. Most are cad plated and subject to rusting due the "quality" of the plating. Check out a marine supply store or a good hardware store.
