I just got me a harris 6-9 BRM-S with podlock. I also got the #9 adapter to attch it to the flat forearmed B&C stock. Is that the best way to attach. It sure looks like crap with the little eared piece running back thru there. Will it move around without the adapter?

Hmmm, mine works OK on my B&C without any adapter.

If I hadn't read this thread I would have never know there was a potential problem.

Since you have the swivel model, this should help your cause. No adapter is necessary to my knowledge. I have never had an adapter on any of my firearms to mount the Harris. I had a B&C Medalist only for a short time, but the Harris was snug and firm against the stock without any adapters.

Whack the ear off with a hacksaw and file it smooth, paint or black marker the shiny edge, looks perfect.

The bipod does fit a lot better with the adapter.

Actually all you have to do is take two screws out and the little ears come off. I was not sure if you really needed them or not. I appreciate all responses

Ditto (even the part about only having the B&C a short time...)

Just toss the "adapter", just screw it on and as long as it's snug you're GTG.
