Northern Delaware.
I'm going to Texas for a hog hunt. I want to get a weeks worth of my handloads [app. 500 rnds] down there. Is there a "better way" than driving them down myself? I'd like to ship my guns and ammo down, and fly, instead of driving for 2 or three days with a car load of guns and ammo. Thoughts or input?

no hazmat fee. Dangerous Goods/ORM-D.

Fedex has a form on their website to fill out prior to going to a depot.

Not sure what UPS does.

I would say just declare them in your checked luggage, but 500 rounds of rifle ammo will most likely exceed the allowed weight on the airplane of 11lbs(maybe its 11.5lbs cant remember my hazmat/DG class from last year) I believe it is.

I've shipped ammo several times. Just box it up really well. Maybe double up the thickness of the cardboard to prevent it busting through the box and tape it up real good. Write "ORM-D small arms ammunition" on the box and take it to a UPS hub to ship. No hazmat fee.
