This might have been brought up before but I can't find much information on it anywhere on the web.

Does anyone know of a better DVR solution for the Trijicon Reap IR? So far the only DVR I can find that works with the scope is the one sold by Ultimate Night Vision which isn't an ideal set up. That DVR is rather large, has a short battery life, and tiny buttons that are hard to reach when trying to film something. On top of this, the video is significantly lower quality than the video off of the Pulsar Trail Series though I don't know if this is because the video output from the scope is worse, the DVR sucks, or there is some sort of interference messing with the analog signal (I've seen this happen with analog security cameras).

Please take a look at the TNVC/NGI unit if you like. Our custom pouch is Made in the USA, and is made for shooters and not an after thought in that regard. The pouch has a clear window to manipulate the buttons closed or open. The pouch is also multi versatile allowing the main compartment to break away from the strap base, allowing very easy helmet mounting for those who need the DVR helmet mounted. It will also not break the bank and comes in several fabric colors. :)

You have 14 days to try it or return with no issue. Since you already have the cable, total cost with the new pouch and DVR is $114.00 for the package.

Keep in mind anytime you download and transfer a vid file, you will lose some qaulity during the transfer.

While I'm sure you're pouch is fantastic, I usually prefer to attach the DVR to the scope with a 3d printed mount so I don't have wires running all over the gun. I'm a little more concerned with video quality than the mounting solution. Do you have any stills of some video captured by the DVR. Like I said in up top, I'm not sure if the poor video quality is due to the DVR, cable, or scope.

Here's a comparison of the Reap IR video (left) vs the Pulsar Trail xp38 video (right)

Dod you try different megahertz settings. Most displays require 60mqz putput
Not sure what you mean by megahertz. The internal display is running at 60 hertz or 60fps. The video is being captured at 30 fps. While this will affect the smoothness of the video, it shouldn't make a difference on picture quality.
