BGTC prec rifle match sat 2/11/12

TOMORROWS MATCH IS CANCELLED!!!!!
the next bgtc (bham, alabama) precision rifle match will be saturday 2/11/12. the match is shot in 2 divisions, prone or bench. format is as follows:
100 yards 5 rds, 1 rd at each of 5 1/2" dots
300 yards 5 rds at 1 moa donut target, 5 rds for center hit, 2 rds for outer ring hit
385 yards 5 rds, 1 rd at each of 5, 4" round steel plates
440 yards 5 rds at 6" steel plate
510 yards 5 rds at either 10" or 5" steel plate, 2 pts for each 10" plate hit, 5 pts for each 5" plate hit
*optional KYL shot at 4" steel plate at 510 yards (+ or - 15 pts)
we are also going to start experimenting with an additional 5rd non prone position shooting stage as part of the "prone division" match...
30 minutes allowed for total course of fire. i assign shoot times after i receive either a pm here advising you want to shoot or you can email me at [email protected]

cant make this one already shooting that day at another place but hoping to make the next one.

I take it that this is at Steel City E range? I've never shot long range competitions up there, just tactical rifle. Maybe it's about time...

yes this is at brocks gap aka steel city on E range. i think it is definately the right time! you are welcome to come shoot the match. just send me a pm that you want a shoot time and i will get back to you with your assigned start time. right now i have a few openings in the 1pm prone run. thanks and hope to hear from you.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers. Sometimes I go and watch matches. Usually the calendar will say it's cancelled, like other cancellations on the event calendar. If I hadn't seen this post, like other people who don't visit SH, I would have traveled to the match based on the BGTC calendar.

Up to date info on the website must be a joke.
They have not updated the match results since last August.

hey css thanks for the negative remark, it was really helpful! i am sure everyone who has followed this thread will now feel more informed. by the way our organization has 1,000 members and all website work is done by volunteers. are you even a member? suggestion..., don't shoot the match, we've been doing great filling the roster each month for the past 3+ years without this kind of nonsense, sincerely the match director

My remarks were not intended to be negative about the club or the match.
I was just saying the website is not up to date. Don't rely on it for up to the minute info.

I apologies my remarks came accross as derogatory.
