I’ve been wondering the same for some time. Not just the 80% industry, but what about the firearms industry in general. They got lawyers ready, they gonna fight?

The GOA and FPC will likely be the source of funding/lawyers for any challenges you see. The manufacturers and possibly individuals will be plaintiffs, obviously, but in terms of financing the litigation -- I don't think the 80% industry is large enough to have the margins where it'd make sense to pay to litigate through SCOTUS. Generally the bankroll for those cases is in the millions.

Think of it this way, there is no litigant on the planet with more resources to fight against than the federal government and there is no court with a higher cost to go before than SCOTUS. And to fight an EO you'll have to do both.

I am starting to think, these two might be the two most incompetent individuals to ever occupy the White House. In fact, having studied History both in formal education and as a hobby afterwards, I am hard pressed to think of any leader of any nation in the history of the World who is not more capable than the biden - harris duo.

Now, President James Buchanan was weak and bumbling in his handling of the southern succession. (Which of course might have been the point as he strongly supported the addition of Kansas as a slave state) but even he, had his moments. The biden - harris duo have not already demonstrated such gross incompetence in handling any issue presented, they have also had to resort to even denying there are any issues or lying about having solved problems that were solved before they came to office.

How does one overcome ones inability to lead others, one falls into the trap of simply and blankly issuing orders that circumvent the established method of achieving goals. Hence, multiple executive orders.

Make no mistake, they aren't incompetent. On the contrary, actually. It's just that they are working towards different goals than you or I have for the prosperity of this country.

They don't want it to prosper. They just want it to be under Democrat party/socialist/communist rule. That's their only goal. They have to burn the constitution? They don't care. Kill a few hundred of out own citizens? They don't care. Overrun our southern border, take our guns, kill our elderly, indoctrinate our children? They don't care.

All they want is to be in control. Control is power, power is money, money is control. It's really that simple.

If they already killed one SCJ, what’s to stop them?
I believe that we may have wandered into the lands of tinfoil hattery, but even assuming that a perfect assassination or two of a Supreme Court justice can be arranged Biden would still be on very shakey grounds using an EO to go after guns.

Courts hate EO's because they are very dangerous to liberty and democracy. Even liberal anti-gun justices are going to be very unlikely to support an EO that would do something contrary to the 2nd amendment (say confiscation of all Assault Weapons). I believe that a newly liberal Supreme Court would dismiss any EO that ran counter to the 2nd Amendment on procedural grounds but avoid expanding the 2nd Amendment. I would expect the current Supreme Court to dismiss an EO and possibly take the chance to expand the 2nd Amendment. If we got really lucky they would rule that any restriction on the 2nd Amendment must satisfy a strict scrutiny test.

So if they ban 80%, how is it enforceable?

All it will do is make companies selling 80% lowers to stop, and then make 78% lowers.

Then, since 80% lowers do not have serial numbers, how would anyone coming across an 80% even know if its pre/post 'ban' date? Hell, I could have made it yesterday and you wouldn't know.

Are we just going to ban pieces of metal next?

    Fucking muppets.

My guess is it'll be a bunch of EO's with wording like 'instruct the ATF to look into the legality of 80% lowers', etc.

There's not enough tin foil to make hats for the entire Bear Pit. I think your analysis is probably right, though I don't know that given the ability a liberal Supreme Court would have the prudence to do as you suggest. I think you also might see one of those nationwide injunctions on this stuff from a conservative judge somewhere, just like you had with most of Trump's EOs. And you will see liberals hate nationwide injunctions, and conservatives start to like them...

    Don’t give them ideas

Biden knows he can’t do shit about gun control. He does have to suffice the liberals and hopefully tomorrow he’ll announce totally useless measures to quiet them down.

We all know something will be done. If all he does is go after 80% lowers then that’s literally the best we can ask for until the Supreme Court gets involved

Yeah we're thinking the same thing.

It's just like Obama and his 'look I did something, I would have done more but the evil white racists wouldn't let me'.

How the fuck can you regulate an 80% lower "Ghost Gun" when by definition it is not a firearm?
Stupid "feel good legislation/EO" to make them think they are doing something and pandering to their voter base.
I suspect they're just virtue signaling. Getting some mileage out of the scary sounding GHOST GUNS. Oooowwwhhheeeeeeeeeee!

What I would like to see are HONEST STATS on how much crime is committed with so called ghost guns. After all, this is their claim for needing to CONTROL them.........they're used for crime with no serial numbers, no background checks, etc and spiel on.

So, is it true? Are ghost guns used to any significant degree in crime? Or just in libbercrat's heads???

I will argue whether homemade guns are used in crimes or not is irrelevant. No need to get caught up in their false premise, because if one day it does become true, you've trapped yourself into a poor position. Shall not be infringed is the best stance to take.

The recent high-profile mass shootings in Boulder – taking the lives of 10 individuals – and Atlanta – taking the lives of eight individuals, including six Asian American women

Why dont they mention the race of the victims in Boulder? Why mention the Atlanta victim's race?

The one thing they keep overlooking is that they have to be running the lowest real approval rating for an administration since probably before Carter. Whatever capital they have, they're running through it fast. Between obviously stealing an election, singling out anyone they don't agree with as domestic terrorists, fucking everyone on the oil pipeline, gas prices, tax increases, sending money everywhere but here and now the gun thing....they're going to be on E in the not so distant future.

This also isn't 2004. When you compare whats being said/overall mentality now versus the panic going on when obama won, it has taken a gigantic shift. Back then on AR15, you had nothing but pages of people freaking out and asking about how to store/bury/hide weapons, what legal options they have, what legal workaround can be made, how they can legally still go shooting, etc. Now its basically, fuck you, come to my house and get 2 rounds to your face.

While I'm sure there are alot of keyboard commandos out there, I've noticed it firsthand from people being worried, to now basically saying pass whatever because fuck you, I don't care.

The communists finally being honest in their desire to disarm you, instead of doing the usual 'I support the 2nd, but....' is probably the best thing thats happened for all of us.

    Agreed

Things like issues at the border and helping relocate a MLB game from a primarily black community to a primarily white community didn’t help him either

Any EO he signs is just for show and will be worthless, at this point, laws only mean something if you plan on abiding by them ......I don't!
What will make a difference is the ammo situation, they will keep working to price us out of being able to pull a trigger .

    Here you go
You 300 prc guys should jump on this bargain ammo before its gone . + $1300 dollars for 140 rds
That's only $9.50 every time you pull the trigger

Wait. If Trump's EO on bump stocks was ruled unconstitutional, what makes the current office think that their EO's would be any different?:sneaky:
same way that president evil mother fucker FDR forced the SCOTUS to pass all of his socialism: he threatened them that if they did not, he would flood the court until he had a majority of fellow socialists who would pass everything.

As checks and balances go, the court is the most powerless of the branches, unless it is supported by one of the others. And it will be bullied into compliance. Plus, mother fucking Roberts is a Soros plant anyway.

guys, this has all been set up in advance. the destruction of the NRA, the talk of flooding the supreme court, the fraudulent election, the loss of liberty from the covid bullshit, and the lack of ammo and components.

Per Jared, sounds like these are going to be EA's -- not EO's. He's essentially doing what we all figured would happen -- he is going to copy Trump in getting the ATF to abuse Chevron and make 'rulings' to circumvent the law.

Which I think is a sign of how afraid Democrats are of gun control right now, they want to pander but not lose the House and Senate in 2022. So they'll try to talk out of both sides of their mouths here, but I think the gun control advocacy groups are going to call them on it and the pro gun side is going to sound every alarm they can.

I'm not sure the ATF can produce what Biden wants without SCOTUS clearing up some disparities between federal circuits.

Basically, Biden is putting a potato in the microwave - about to get it hot as F, and he's gonna throw that thing to the ATF while it's still smoking and point all the journalists and gun control advocates over to them. Just like he did with the border and Harris. The guy has no balls.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the promoters of some of this had included firearms that had serial numbers filed off or otherwise removed into the "ghost guns" count totals. Anyboby else remember this and could link the source?

What is a "homemade" gun? Is it a gun made from a 80% lower? Or is a gun made in your home from parts with a serial-numbered lower?

    This.

I think that also something that is not taken into account is that more and more people are noticing, due to social media, that not only is the Federal government is largely incompetent, but they really lack the ability to enforce most of the edicts that pass. This ranges from EO's to Court decisions and legislation.

    For example,
A couple hundred upper middle class adult children spent almost three months attempting to burn down a federal court house with people in it. its still an on going issue.

Same thing with States saying hey feds, weeds no longer illegal.

China hacks the opm and we say hey what can you do.

At a certain point, at decades of a 24/7 stream of incompetence, people are pretty much at the people of saying no thanks. I am not going to take any guidance from a crackhead.

The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.
Go fuck yourself... The 3D printer goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrr, no different than your money printers.

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act.
Do what ever you want, your 2200 ATF agents do not and can not enforce the NFA on an individual basis. At this point, a form 1 or 4 is pointless at this time.

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states.
This means nothing. This memo will simply state, see NY/NJ for guidance

The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.
If they can't figure out a way to get most inner city youth to read and write at a 6th grade level, i am pretty sure they are these kids are not going to understand that they should not shoot somebody if they felt disrespected.

The incompetiane of the federal government is astonishing. These assholes can even figure out if mask work and they want to address gun violence.
