How are they going to get middle America to not vote Trump again? Biden has shown he's extremely open to gun control and more socialism. This will not garner the votes he needs. I don't see a candidate who's running on gun control can possibly win. They need an extremely centrist Democrat but that's going to be very difficult this late in the game as most have shown their true colors. Unless you're a die hard Liberal, Trump has likely not pissed you off, and on the contrary, unless you somehow find Trump responsible for Covid-19, you should be somewhat pleased with his performance thus far.
