BIG +1 for Manners

Ordered a stock back in january that i was sending my own xlr industries cheek piece in to have installed. They told me w/ my class coming up they could help me out a bit, and while there was a bit of confusion (my fault) the stock was not quite ready three weeks before the class. I called them and explained the situation, and a week later it was on my doorstep. I glass bedded it the next day and took it to the range the following. I was right on the MOA boarder w/ this rifle before, but its a true 1/2 moa gun now. my wife even shot a 10 shot sub moa group at 700 yards during the competition that day w/ it. the stock was the only thing i changed and it made the gun twice as accurate.

My wife is now hooked, going to my LR class with me, and am building her an identical rifle. will be nothing but manners. they are top notch, and i will never send another penny to mcmillan after dealing w/ manners.

Where did you get that bolt handle?

Also, how did Manners install the cheekpiece? Did they have to add the metal spacers to screw it on?

bolt handle came from brownells, its the only one i have ever put my hands on that was worth spending mony on the upgrade.. .couple that bolt handle, w/ some thrust bearings for an RC car to the bolt, and i have a bolt lift as smooth as some of the customs out there.

i bought the threaded metal pillars for the cheek piece on a group buy off the hide a few months ago, they cost me 15 bucks and came w/ the bolts. the cheep piece cost me 25 dollars shipped. Manners did not charge me anything to install them.

Did your original bolt handle need to be threaded or was it a complete replacement?

The folks at Manners are good people. I will reiterate your comments about them. I had a similar situation and Tom personally got me taken care of in no time flat. Not to mention that make great products.

I ordered a Manners T4 from Stocky's and was unsure about the barrel channel being wide enough ( mainly because Stocky's didn't know ) so I called Manners and told them what I was doing and they said if it didnt fit to to send it to them and they would open it up and get it back to me at no charge! This is great customer service and HS will never see a penny of my money again.

I would dump money on a Manners purely based on what I have read on the hide in my time here... that and they are very nice stocks.
