F T/R Competition Big Piney 2012 Prize Money Shoot

Big Piney Sportsman’s Club is the place to be in July for Long Range rifle shooting. The month of July will feature the 600 Yard Bench Rest Championship match and the Multi Range F-Class Money Shoot. Both shoots are expected to draw over 40 shooters and feature cash prizes and trophies. Rules and Details are posted below.

Multi Range F-Class
100 – 600 Yards 5 shots each
Shot Prone from Rest or Bipod
100-200 Yard shot on Bulls Eye target
300-600 Yards shot on 42”x42” High Power Target with 7” 10 ring
Muzzle Brakes and Suppressors welcome
No Caliber restrictions
$50 Entry Fee with 80% Payback
Many sponsors and Door Prizes

One Division - Open
No sighters 5 shots each Range.
No need to sign up in advance the way we are set up we can run over 60 shooters shooters in 2 relays.

Just an update on the Prize table we have added several small prizes.
We have added a complete chasis from McRee Precision. This is the real deal folding and 1 magazine.

We are down to a little over a week till the Multi Range Money Shoot. The Raymondville Methodist Church Ladies will be serving Lunch as a Fund Raiser at this event.
If you have not been out in a while, you will be impressed with the Range Improvements. We moved 150 dump trucks of dirt from the Dog Leg in the range, and constructed 2 new Safety Berms, and a New 800 Yard Firing Point Berm. The new 800 yard Firing Point has a beautiful view of all 40 targets.
That is correct I said 40 Targets. In February we had a wind storm that trashed most of out Hi Power Targets. We rebuilt them much heavier this time, and also upped the number to 40 targets.
We have also expanded our 600 yard Bench Rest Line to 20 Benches, and we have constructed a 126 Feet Long Cover over it complete with Lights, Receptacles,RED "Range Cold" Lights, and a PA System. We took the recomendation of the sheet metal provided and installed a product called Low-E Insulation under the metal. WOW what a difference in Temperature as well as Noise.
The 14 July 600 yard Bench Rest Trophy Match went very well with 51 entries. We had a nice calm day, and the number of small groups reflected the nice shooting conditions.

Prizes keep rolling in for the 28 July Multi Range F Class Money Shoot. Last year we had 42 entries if I remember correctly. I am hoping for more this year.

We will have a 600 Yard F Class Match on Friday 27 July starting at 9 AM, the day before the Money Shoot. Come on down for both days, you will have a great time.

Friday starts at 10 AM.
I believe the Saturday Money Shoot starts at 9AM as usual.

It would not hurt to come early for the friday 600 F Class and pop a few caps on the steel before the match. We have 20 benchs and 20 Steel Sighter Plates.
