big subsonic round for short action?

I'm considering a bigger bore subsonic round to make up a switch barrel for a 700 short action / 308 bolt face.
I'm not looking to change the bolt face, as I've already got 2 barrels for said rifle. Maybe a 50 beowulf? I see the rim diameter is .445. It's certainly short enough for the action.
338 whisper?
Any other suggestions?
My goals include suppressed hog hunting, steel out a little farther than the usual 200 yards, and a big chunk of lead.
Thanks in advance.

338 whisper, dont have any personal experience with it but i have a 300 whisper and a guy in town has a 50 whisper dont know what action the 50 is but its a hell of a shooter.

it would be like getting hit with and extremely quiet volkswagon bug

I like the looks of the 500 Phantom, which seems to be discontinued due to brass supply issues.
Will the 458 socom work on a 308 bolt face?

The more I look into it the more I'd like to shoot a 510 bullet. Assuming I get a new bolt, or open the current, I ought to be able to single load a 510 whisper, correct?
