Ouch; did it get around his pipes or did he just give up from exhaustion? I'm always game for some sportsman like God's creature killing because he made them tasty for us; but I'll take em delivered from barbed wire too. Doesnt have to be a bullet.

I was driving through Illinois last winter and noticed an abundance of dead deer off the road. When I say abundance I mean probably 100 or so along a 50 mile stretch. Its their stupid hunting laws which tie the hunter's hands unless you do it exactly their way. They don't realise that population comes to a point of being a nuisance. Anyhow, i finally convinced the wife that fresh roadkill in winter is OK to eat. I kick the deer and its still soft, eyes just a little hazed over. "Its a fresh one babe! Gimmie the phone." The Illinois DOW said you have to go through the troopers to get a harvest roadkill tag; troopers said they would be there in about 3 hours. Piss on that; Im on a road trip! Those Zombie Democrats would rather see an animal rot than to have someone with a tasty meal and less the expense of cleanup. Typical Communism...Ill stop to keep this from turning into something other than the original poster.

This guy jumped a ditch and landed in the fence. He was very very much alive. Guessing he had been there for 2 to 3 hours. From the blood, looks like it's the end. I cut him loose (pretty exciting deal). He took off for about 75yrds, turned and looked back, then jetted for cover. Witnessed him a couple more times that season.

Goddamn that makes me sick to my stomach bro you can tell he was probably hung up on a post by how tightly wound it is on his number 5 and 6s must a broke that off and been carrying it for a bit I bet, sorry to see it, was he rank yet?.

Bet the whitetail made it though, some cactus tough critters they are.

ya he was real rank, about a day and a 1/2 or two, but he got my dobe and my rotty nice and fat. the wire on his dagger tine was wrapped harder than i've ever seen, i sure as hell couldn't of made a wrap that tight with wire pliers. he'll make a memorable european mount.
