Gunsmithing Bighorn Origin Build

I am currently building a 6mm Dasher and have a new Bighorn Origin action. When I set the headspace on the barrel I removed the extractor on the bolt head (per directions), the brass chambered and shut just fine without the extractor present. When I put the extractor back in it hangs up when you shut the bolt for some reason about halfway down, with minimal pressure it will pass and go ahead and shut. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might do to solve this? I’m using Alpha brass.

Is the gun assembled and feeding from
mags, or is it hanging up when you single feed?

Try sliding the brass under the extractor then close the bolt. Or feed from mag.

It is hanging up when I single feed. I do not have any loaded ammo ready yet. If I manually put the brass in the bolt head then push it into the chamber it runs just fine.

It's fine to single feed. It sounds like the resistance you were feeling was the extractor popping over the case rim. This is normal.
