Bighorn TL2?

Are bighorn TL2's still worth it? I know they've got TL3s, origins, and ARC has the Nucleus, but are the TL2s still relevant. If you had the opportunity to pick up a used tl2 today and need a new rifle for a class in two weeks would you take one or look elsewhere?

I haven't seen hardly any used TL3 barreled actions come up so I have kind of given up on that front. If someone has one let me know what you've got.

My opinion is that if it worked fine before the new actions showed up, it will work just as well today. My 10 year old Stiller has many thousands of rounds and numerous barrels on it and is still one of my favorite rifles. It may not be the latest or greatest, but it shoots and functions just as well as ever and does the same things all of the latest actions do.

I just bought a never used TL2 in the 40X range and built a 223 off of it. I have no plans or need for the TL3 for the calibers I plan to use.

If you can get the TL2 at a good price I'd go for it. Send it to Bighorn and have it updated (if it needs it) and have it DLC'd.

It's under serial number 700 so it might need it. What updates do they do?

I had a TL2, and I sold it to help fund purchasing two TL3 actions. Controlled round feed and mechanical ejection on the TL3 are nice options, but the TL2 doesn't have a bad feature set. I had the opportunity to run my old TL2 next to my TL3s about a month ago, and I wouldn't hesitate to run a TL2 if purchased at a good price.

I also would love to know what upgrades they do???
My TL2 was an early one with no dlc and always seemed to run a little “sticky” to me, having to be very careful as to what directional pressure I put on the bolt when reloading.
