I'm going to be purchasing a LRA Bipod for my AI AW 338 Magnum rifle, mounting it via the AI spiggot mount and rail system.

I'm wondering what the best choice in bipod leg length would be for my application. I'll be shooting from a prone position most of the time and a bench some of the time. I'm considering the 5"-7" leg length model. But due to the design of the bipod I'm wondering if that is the best choice or not.

Because of the lower slung design of the LRA ( especially the F class version) the 7-10 inch version is much more versatile. Kind of how the 6-9 inch version of the Harris is the most popular for most types of shooting. My LRA is the 7-10" version and works great for bench & prone.
